Buy a Star Trac Elliptical Machine Online

If you are looking for a Star Trac elliptical machine online, you should check out places like Big Fitness or Amazon. Be sure to also check the link at the top of these page for elliptical machines at the lowest prices. By shopping online, you'll often be able to save $500 or more from the price of the more expensive models in Star Trac's lineup.

Online retailers will also ship your machine right to your door, so you don't have to worry about purchasing it from a store and finding a truck to bring it home. Ellipticals also take up less space than treadmills and exercise bikes, so you should be able to put it in an extra bedroom, or even a family room. Put it near a TV and you can watch the news while you workout. A home exercise machine is really great for those days you don't want to get out in the weather, and they'll save you a lot of money in gym fees.

Star Trac Elliptical Machine Reviews

I haven't seen a lot of Star Trac elliptical machine reviews. This could be due to the fact that until recently, they mostly sold their trainers to the gym market, not for home users who want to equip their home gym. Some of their models would be great for the home, especially if you can get them at a discount. They have many more features than a lot of other brands, and they have been built to last for a long time.

One market that is using ellipticals more and more are seniors. Elliptical workouts are low impact compared to treadmills, stair climbers, exericise bikes, and other forms of cardiovascular workout routines. They are very easy on the knees and lower back, which are common areas of concern for older people, particularly if they suffer from arthritis. An elliptical is also easy to figure out, since it mimics the normal movement of the body. You can just climb on and start moving naturally. They also feel a lot less intense than other machines, so you end up working out longer, getting more exercise benefit.

Star Trac Elliptical Machine Features to Enhance Your Workouts

Some great Star Trac elliptical machine features are a number of preset workout routines you can use, up to 20 different resistance levels, and a good pulse rate monitor so you can check your heartbeat during your workout.

With the many different resistance levels, you can actually make up your own programs. You can start out by doing a warmup at a lower level. After about 5 minutes, you could crank up the resistance to a higher intensity. You might do this several times during your workout, then at the end cool down at a lower intensity. Doing it this way will make it more interesting, as well as challenging, and you'll end up burning more calories from your workouts.

One of the problems with many exercise machines is that they become boring over time. It would be hard to be bored with the Star Trac elliptical machines, as they offer ways to put variety into your workout.

The Star Trac Elliptical Machine Elite Model

Another model is the Star Trac elliptical machine Elite. This model costs about $4,500, but is their top model and has tons of great features. What distinguishes it from other ellipticals is its handlebar system, which it calls Select Fit. This system doesn't just work in conjunction with your leg movements, but can also offer a separate system that gives a much more intense upper body workout to go along with the lower body workout.

The Select Fit system allows you to push or pull the handles, rather than moving them back and forth along with your leg movements. When you pull, it works your biceps and your lats. When you push, it can work your chest and triceps muscles. This would defnitely take a total body workout to the next level, since you're combining strength training with a cardiovascular workout. It would be especially good for those who don't separately do a weight training routine in their workout.

Star Trac elliptical machine Total Body Trainers

The Star Trac elliptical machine Total Body Trainers are a whole line of ellipticals for both home and gym use. Star Trac likes to call them Total Body Trainers rather than ellipticals. And if you think about it, it makes sense. Most cardiovascualr exercise machines work the legs, rather than all the muscle groups. That is true of the treadmill, the exercise bike, and the stair climber. The rowing machine, on the other hand, mainly works out the arms and shoulders. But an elliptical works out both lower and upper body. The upper body is worked with the use of rotating arms, that also help with balance when you are on them.

This is one of the reasons that an elliptical actually feels less strenuous than other exercise machines. Since you are spreading the work over more muscles, one muscle group doesn't get fatigued as quickly. Since it doesn't feel like you are doing as much work, you can actually feel like increasing your workout longer and getting more benefit.

Refurbished Star Trac Elliptical Machine: Get a Great Machine at Low Cost

I've just found out that you can get a refurbished Star Trac elliptical machine right from their factory. These are completely rebuilt and repaired. As I mentioned in my last post, the Star Trac machines are fairly expensive. So if you get a reconditioned one, it could save a lot of money.

This could definitely be worthwhile, as you can get a great cardiovascular workout from an elliptical machine. And in a home gym, they would be easy to use every day as a part of your routine. Ellipticals are a very smooth, low-impact exercise machine and very easy on the joints. In most gyms, the elliptical section of the cardio room always seems to be full.

The Star Trac Elliptical Machine Brand

From what I've researched, the Star Trac elliptical machine brand is primarily found in gyms and hotel chains that offer a workout area for their guests to do their workouts on. That means that these trainers definitely see a lot of use and abuse. Star Trac seems to have been around since 1987 and is known for quality and good customer service.

Incidentally, Star Trac used to cater totally to fitness centers, but now are offering some of their models for home gym use. The Star Trac elliptical machines are generally more expensive than the lower-end brands. They can cost $3,000 or more. So you would definitely want to be dedicated to using the machine a lot for your workouts if you want to buy one.

Star Trac Elliptical Machine

I started this Star Trac Elliptical Machine blog because I'm shopping around for an elliptical for my home gym. I thought it would be interesting to compare the different elliptical trainer brands and their different features.

I've seen the Star Trac Elliptical machine in a lot of different gyms, so it seems to be a popular model. What I've noticed from using them is that they are very stable - no wobbling around like you get on some ellipticals, such as the lower-priced ones you see in stores. Stability is a good feature if you are doing a strenuous workout. You don't want the machine moving around on the floor and affecting your balance. I'll talk more about some of the different features as I look into this brand more. Hopefully, this will be useful for others who are looking to purchase an elliptical.
